Lady Lions hit season high at invitational

---- — The Lady Lion gymnastics team hosted the 6-team Rushville Invitational Saturday in the Gym Addition. The Lady Lions placed fourth in the field with a new season high score of 81.575.

New Palestine finished first overall with a 98.525 total. Hagerstown was second with 94.425 followed by Shelbyville 88.40, Rushville, Cambridge City Lincoln 73.65 and Morristown 51.65.

Rushville’s Katie Egielske was the top Lady Lion in the all-around competition with a seventh place finish and a total of 29.625 (personal best). Egielske was fourth on the vault with 8.45, third on the bars with a personal best 7.5, 11th on the beam with 5.725 and sixth on the floor with a personal best 7.95.

Caitlyn Morris was 13th in the all-around with a 26.425 total. Morris was ninth on the vault with 7.9, 12th on bars with 5.875, 18th on beam with 5.2 and 13th on the floor with a personal best 7.45.

Senior Jessica Wilson finished 14th in the all-around with a 24.275. Wilson finished 16th on the vault with 6.9, 17th on the bars with 5.425, 15th on the beam with 5.4 and 18th on the floor with 6.55.

Other scores for the Lady Lions included Kaitlin Chandler 7.45 for 14th on the vault and 4.575 for 19th on the beam; Alyssa Boles 3.75 for 19th on bars, 4.05 for 23rd on beam and 6.525 (personal best) for 19th on the floor.
