Mr. Robert Hadley (Principal RCHS) announced that Abigail Gulde has been named as a “Commmended Student” by the 2014 National Merit Scholarship Program. A Letter of Commendation from the school and National Merit Scholarship Program were presented to Miss Gulde on Sept. 24, 2013.
Commended Students placed among the top five percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2014 competition by taking the 2012 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
“The young men and women being named Commended Students have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success. Rushville Consolidated High School can take great pride in the fact that one of our own has truly embodied the motto of Excellence Is Our Expectation. We hope this recognition will help broaden Ms. Gulde’s educational opportunities and encourage others at they continue their pursuit of academic success,” stated Mr. Hadley.
