10 reasons to attend Opportunity School

RUSHVILLE — It’s crunch time! In a few short weeks the tests will be finished, school will wind down, and people will graduate. In the meantime, the Rush County School Corporation will make preparations to welcome the Class of 2025 and the Class of 2014 is waiting in the wings to claim their final year at RCHS.

There are people who are wondering just where they fit into this experience we call “High School.” Perhaps you dropped out of school and are trying to find your way back to finish. There’s time to find your place. Maybe it’s with the Class of 2014!

Perhaps there’s a specific course you’d like to take that will prepare you for college. Whatever your goal might be, the Opportunity School stands ready to help make your diploma a reality as well as offer duel credit courses for college. There’s no reason why your future lingers in question. Here are the top 10 reasons to attend Opportunity School.

1. Try a different way of learning – what have you got to lose?

2. You can start big or start small – you make the call!

3. Consider a two-step approach: RCHS Summer School and then Opportunity School in the fall of 2013.

4. Ease back into high school without making a grand entrance.

5. Naysayers be gone; beat the odds and get that high school diploma.

6. Learn at your pace with help only a step away.

7. Two blocks a day makes learning OK: 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m.

8. Increase your future earning power by using learning power.

9. Ramp up with dual credit courses before college.

10 Seize the day and take control of your life.
