Ivy Tech awarding dual credit scholarships

RICHMOND - Ivy Tech Community College Richmond is awarding 50 Fall Semester 2014 dual credit scholarships worth $500 to 2014 area high school graduates. The scholarships are being awarded on a first to enroll basis to graduates who earned Ivy Tech high school dual credits.

“We want to recognize students who got a head start on a college degree by taking Ivy Tech dual credit courses in their high school classes at no cost to them or their families. These dual credit courses provide students the opportunity to earn college credits toward completion of an Ivy Tech certificate or degree before high school graduation”, said Chris Seger, Ivy Tech Richmond Admissions Director.

When 2014 graduates with Ivy Tech dual credits apply and enroll for classes that begin Aug. 25, Ivy Tech Richmond will award the first 50 to enroll a $500 scholarship. This scholarship can be used for tuition and fees, books, supplies, or any other bookstore purchase(s). This offer is good for Fall Semester 2014 only.

Students who earned Ivy Tech Community College Richmond dual credits and graduated with the Class of 2014 in Wayne, Union, Fayette, Rush and Franklin Counties should have received a dual credit Certificate with a letter and a response card explaining the scholarship opportunity.

Ivy Tech offers industry-leading academic programs including: Automotive Technology, Business Administration, Early Childhood Education, Health Care Support, Informatics, Information Technology Support, Nursing, Criminal Justice, Accounting, Engineering Technology and many more. The 2014 graduates who earned Ivy Tech Dual Credits can finish their education in less time and with less expense.

Students must meet the following criteria to qualify for a scholarship: officially graduated from high school, apply and enroll as a Richmond/Connersville student for Fall Semester 2014 and be a degree-seeking student (pursuing an Ivy Tech certificate or degree program).

To learn more about this scholarship, contact Chris Seger, Admissions Director, crethlake@ivytech.edu or 765-966-2656 ext. 1218. You may also complete the Ivy Tech admissions application online at www.ivytech.edu/applynow.
