RICHMOND - Ivy Tech Community College Richmond will offer four programs in the new School of Computing and Informatics beginning Fall Semester 2014.
The new programs are: Informatics- focuses on how people interact with computers, data and other technologies to increase productivity and enhance communication;
Information Technology Support- focuses on knowledge and skills needed to deploy, troubleshoot, and support stand-alone and networked computing systems and technology;
Server Administration- focuses on current and relevant server administration concepts including network security concepts/best-practices and industry certification preparation; and
Cyber Security & Information Assurance- focuses on areas related to information assurance, digital forensics, network and computer security.
Degrees earned by Ivy Tech students through the School of Computing and Informatics will prepare them for careers in high-demand computing and informatics fields. Certificates that prepare students to earn IT certifications are incorporated throughout the programs of study. The programs include pathways for transfer to bachelor degree programs.
