Citizens State Bank 2013 Scholarship Winner

In the importance of education throughout our community, Citizens State Bank proudly awards seven high school scholarships to one graduate from each area that they serve. The scholarship program began in 1985 and was designed to encourage individuals to pursue a higher education and give them the recognition for their accomplishments. A committee comprised of school officials, counselors and teachers at each school determines the recipients. The recipient from Rushville Consolidate High School for the 2013-2014 academic school year is David Wood.

David Wood ranks 24 out of 148 in his class. He is the son of Jeremy Wood. David was a member of the National Honor Society, SADD, Rushlite Holcad, PHAF, and played a role in cadet teaching and the football team. His Jr./Sr. year, David was a Varsity Scholar with perfect attendance and received the RCHS V.I.P. Lion Pride Award. He is an active volunteer with his church. David plans to attend Ivy Tech Community College and pursue a career in nursing.

Citizens State Bank is a fourth generation family owned company based in New Castle with twelve offices in east-central Indiana.
