Registration open in Rushville

RUSHVILLE — Ivy Tech Community College is enrolling for spring term. Classes begin Jan. 14. Students can register at the Richmond, Connersville and Rushville locations weekdays and in Richmond Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon.

Registration is also open for Ivy Institute’s 40-week Welding and Automotive Technology. Those classes start Jan. 7. Deadline to register is Jan. 4 for welding and automotive technology.

The college recently launched a new Help Center, which provides students with real-time information about their current registration, application and financial aid status, as well as access to nearly 500 frequently asked questions. The new site, www.ivytech.edu/help, is available 24/7 to students needing assistance.

In addition, the Help Center is also equipped with a toll-free number, 888-IVY-LINE, and an on-line chat feature, which is accessible to students daily from 7 a.m. to 1 a.m. Ivy Tech representatives are available to answer any question a student may have about the registration process or any item related to Ivy Tech.

Ivy Tech’s enrollment has increased nearly 70 percent in the last six years, growing from 104,708 students in 2005-2006 to 176,769 students in 2011-12.

Ivy Tech has campuses throughout Indiana. It serves as the state’s engine of workforce development, offering affordable degree programs and training that are aligned with the needs of its community along with courses and programs that transfer to other colleges and universities in Indiana. It is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association.
