RICHMOND - The Ivy Institute of Technology- Automotive Technician 40 week program starts Jan. 13. The program includes five 8-week sessions that are five days a week, seven hours a day. The Automotive Institute prepares students for careers as automotive technicians.
This high tech high demand field requires employees to have technology training and certifications. Ivy Institute’s accelerated program allows students to earn a new career in 40 weeks of laboratory/classroom instruction. During five 8-week sessions students will learn skills to sit for nationally recognized certifications and earn a Technical Certificate (TC).
They may choose to enter the workforce immediately or choose to continue their education to complete an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree at Ivy Tech with approximately 30 percent additional course work to complete. Additional cohort classes start March 17 and June 9.
Potential students must have a high school diploma or GED. Applicants may qualify for financial aid from a number of sources including the VA, FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and WorkOne.
