Knightstown’s Tri Kappa Chapter, Alpha Zeta, is seeking applicants for state scholarships. Please contact local scholarship chairman, Lois Brooks, if you wish to apply for any of these $1,000 awards.
Requirements: TO BE ELIGIBLE, APPLICANTS MUST
1. Be enrolled full-time at an accredited college offering a baccalaureate or graduate degree.
2. Be a sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student at the time of application and be enrolled full-time during the subsequent year.
3. Be a citizen of the United States and resident of Indiana from within the jurisdiction of the sponsoring chapter of Tri Kappa.(Knightstown)
State Academic Scholarship – Strong academic record, strong goal statement, work experience, volunteer service, and extracurricular activities.
Key Scholarship – Have no previous undergraduate degree, and have an interruption in education for at least 5 years, plan to enroll for a minimum of 6 credit hours, strong goal statement, work experience, and volunteer service.
Fine Arts Scholarship – Enrolled in area of concentration - dance, drama, art, or music - and focused upon either performance or education.
Twanette Nutter Fleming Award – enrolled in a music education program and aspire to teach music in a public, private, or parochial school.
Beryl Showers Holland Fellowship – enrolled at Indiana University, senior at time of application, excellent academic ability, leadership, financial need, and continuing in graduate study.
