The Gathering

The Gathering is hosting a Harvest Party from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, at Greg and Janice Hartwells, 5813 East Base Road, Glendale. Supper, games and fun! Please RSVP to Greg Hartwell at 765-561-1134. Everyone welcome!

The Gathering is open Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Stop by and check out the clothing and have a cup of coffee at 245 North Main St., Rushville. The first Thursday of each month at 7 p.m., we host a group called “Life Matters.” We’ll sing a few songs, and enjoy a discussion on relevant “life matters!” While the adults meet to get a greater understanding of what the Bible says about life matters, children ages 4 through 4th grade will enjoy an exciting time of silly songs, Bible stories and crafts at KIDS J.A.M. Crops for CROP

On Sunday, Oct. 13, the Shelby County Crop Walk kicked off from First Christian Church in Shelbyville. On the same day, people began in the first CROP Rock-a-thon walking and rocking to stop hunter one step at a time. Each walker and rocker recruited sponsors and funds are being used to support both the Food Pantry located at Human Services in Shelby County and hunger projects around the world. Another first is Crops for CROP. Farmers are being asked to donate some of their corn to help Stop Hunger One Bushel at a Time. Corn is being collected now through Oct. 30 by Zion United Methodist Church of Christ. Call 765-525-4570 and leave your contact information.
