First Southern Baptist Celebrates 55th Homecoming

First Southern Baptist will celebrate its 55th Homecoming on Sunday, September 8, 2013. The festivities begin at 9:30 a.m. with Sunday School. There is a class for every age group from preschool and kindergarten to senior adults. Dr. John Rogers, Director of Evangelism and Prayer Strategy with State Convention of Baptists in Indiana, will preach the morning service at 10:30 a.m . A contemporary gospel group from Dillsboro, IN, “Sanctified 7,” will minister in song in both the morning and afternoon service. The group formed in 2009 and has a mixture of youth and middle-aged singers and musicians. A meal will be served in the fellowship hall at 12 noon. First Southern Baptist has enjoyed a rich heritage of gospel music throughout the years and will continue that tradition as the featured group, “Sanctified 7,” and local talent will participate in an afternoon concert. Join us for this very special day as we celebrate 55 years of ministry. Nursery care is provided and the church van is available for transportation needs. We are located at 1159 S. Airport Road in Rushville. For additional information or transportation needs, please call the church office at 765-932-2471 or Pastor Jeff at 765-938-9196. Hope to see you there!
