RUSHVILLE — Plum Creek Christian Church

Unstoppable Joy

lt has been said that people who are spirit-minded are no earthly good. People who are spirit-minded are not focused on the the things of this world. Their joy comes from following Christ. True followers of Jesus Christ know Christianity isn't merely a religion, it is a way of life.

The Apostle Paul to the world he lived in seemed to have it all. He had material wealth, superior intelligence, was well educated, and had the respect of his peers. He was one of the most religious Jews of his day. His job was to shut up Christ followers. When Paul had a life changing encounter with Jesus he turned from his religion with all the rules and regulations. It was then he saw Jesus for who he truly was. Jesus as Lord and Savior. That was when he became a committed follower of Jesus and went to preach the good news everywhere he went. Talk about life changing! From persecuting Christians to becoming one! In Philippians 3:7 Paul states, ÒBut whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ.Ó

You see, when he had a spiritual mind centered on Jesus he knew all the world had to offer was meaningless. We would be wise to follow his example. Matthew 16:26 also makes it very clear. ÒWhat good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world yet forfeits his soul?Ó This life is temporary. We will all one day die. How you choose to spend eternity is up to you. Invite Jesus into your life and you will experience life changing Salvation.
