Main Street Christian Church

Main Street Christian Church is participating in National Back to Church Sunday this Sunday, Sept. 15. National Back to Church Sunday began as a movement to invite everyone in America back to church by empowering and motivating church members to invite their family and friends to come with them to a service hosted by the local church. The movement was spurred on by a couple of statistics. According to Dr. Thom Rainer, “82 percent of those not involved in a local congregation are at least somewhat likely to attend church if invited by a friend, and yet only 2 percent of Christians ever invite someone to church! National Back to Church Sunday is also an opportunity for persons to make the commitment to become active in worship for summer vacations and the start of school. The public is invited to services at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. Sunday at Main Street Christian Church. Pastor Sam Davenport will deliver his Sunday message on “Welcome to the Community” with Bible text from Acts 2: 42-47.
