Plum Creek Christian Church

Acts chapter 14 tells about the trials and triumphs of the Apostle Paul and Barnabas. There mission was to encourage the leaders of the new churches. Even after being stoned Paul continued in the Lord’s work of building up the church. They returned to these new Christians to help them understand it takes the wisdom of Spirit-led leaders for the church to mature. Just as it is necessary for wise leaders in the church it is also the role of men in the homes to raise children in the ways of God. Don’t live with regrets about what you should have done like the dad says in this story. He said, “I took my children to school but not to church. I taught them to drink but not of the living water. I enrolled them in Little League but not Sunday School. I showed them how to fish but not how to be fishers of men. I made the Lord’s day a holiday not a holy day. I taught them the church was full of hypocrites and made the greater hypocrite out of me. I gave them a big screen TV but no Bible. I handed them the keys to the car but not the keys to the kingdom of God. I taught them how to make a living but failed to bring them to Christ alone who can make a life.” If this sounds familiar do not give up. With Jesus you too can be a new creation in Christ. That is the best lesson you can teach anyone.

The Gathering

The Gathering is open Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Stop by and check out the clothing and have a cup of coffee at 245 North Main St, Rushville.

The first Thursday of each month at 7 p.m., we host a group called “Life Matters.” We’ll sing a few songs, and enjoy a discussion on relevant “life matters!” While the adults meet to get a greater understanding of what the Bible says about life matters, children ages 4 through 4th grade will enjoy an exciting time of silly songs, Bible stories and crafts at KIDS J.A.M.
