Church Briefs

Instead of the New Beginnings contemporary service at 8:30 a.m. and the more traditional service at 10:40 a.m., St. Paul’s will offer a single service on Sundays at 10 a.m. from June 1 through Aug. 31, blending elements of the New Beginnings and traditional services into a combination of old favorites and new favorites, with music by the Praise Team opening each service. Communion will be offered to all who wish it on the first and third Sundays of each month. The communion table does not belong to St. Paul’s, nor to the United Methodist denomination, but to Christ: all are welcome to participate.

Adult Sunday school will begin at 9 a.m. each Sunday. There will be no children’s Sunday school during the summer, but the children’s worship service for children in preschool through grade 4 will continue to be offered during the 10 a.m. service; older children are welcome to assist.

This change in schedule is an experiment, and the response to it will guide our choices in the future.

Vacation Bible School will take place from 9 to 11:45 a.m. June 2-6. Rivet invites your K – sixth grade child to enjoy Workshops of Wonder.
