Hope Spot’s Annual Back to School Day

Hope Spot’s Second Annual Back to School Day will be from 8 to 11 a.m., Saturday, July 27, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. We will be offering backpacks with school supplies for our children going back to school. If you need help with providing these essential items for your children come to St. Paul’s UMC at 426 N. Morgan Street and receive the items that your child(ren) will need.

Hope Spot is St. Paul’s ministry to the community of Rushville. This ministry began years ago known to the community as the Christmas Store. In 2012 St. Paul’s UMC was gifted with a used moving van and a vision to make the concept of the Christmas Store available to the community year round. It is available to those who have suffered a fire or some kind of disaster. We have the ability to take Hope Spot within a 200 mile radius of Rushville to meet the needs of those who suffer from disasters.

We are always accepting gently used clothing that can be shared with those who have a need. If you would like to make a donation (monetary or clothing) please contact St. Paul’s between the hours of 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday - Friday (932-3777).

Family Worship Center

Family Worship Center invites children to Kingdom Rock: Where Kids Stand Strong for God. A summer kids event called Kingdom Rock Vacation Bible School will be hosted at Family Worship Center from July 22 to 26. At Kingdom Rock, kids participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, make and dig into yummy treats, experience epic Bible adventures and test out Sciency-Fun Gizmos they’ll take home and play with all summer long. Plus, kids will learn to look for evidence of God all aroun them through something called God Sightings. Each day concludes with Fanfare Finale – a celebration that gets everyone involved in living what they’ve learned. Family members and friends are encouraged to join in daily for this special time at 7:30 p.m.
