RUSHVILLE — Faith Baptist Church - Morristown

Saturday, May 11 the church will hold a special work day to plant flowers and complete the landscape projects at 9 a.m.

Sunday, May 12 Dr. Wayne Scott will be teaching Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. with a special service at 10:30 a.m. to honor the high school and college graduates. Since it is Mother’s Day, there will not be a pitch-in lunch or afternoon service.

Other activities for the month include:

May 15 - Prayer and Bible study meeting at the church at 7 p.m.

May 19 - Morristown Manor Nursing Home service at 1 p.m. and all Tupperware orders are due to Jane Smith.

May 22 - Prayer and Bible study meeting at the church at 7 p.m.

May 26 - Sara Marshall, missionary to Costa Rica, will speak during the morning worship service.

May 29 - Monthly visitation teams will leave the church at 7 p.m. to call on families that have visited the church since Christmas.

Knightstown Church of God

St. Joseph Church - Shelbyville

St. Joseph Church in Shelbyville is hosting its annual Spring Parish Festival on May 16, 17 and 18. Hours are Thurs. 5-10 p.m., Fri. 5-11 p.m., and Sat. noon-11 p.m. Events include Fried Chicken Dinner on Sunday (11 a.m.-2 p.m.) at Knights of Columbus (Adults $10, children $5); Children’s games and rides; authentic Mexican food; Fish Fry (Thurs. only) Pork Chop dinner (Fri. only); BBQ chicken dinner (Sat. only); and a Raffle drawing Sunday afternoon. Ride tickets are on sale now ($14 for 20 tickets) at the following locations: Dean’s Dry Cleaning & Laundry, Quality Cleaners, Knights of Columbus, Mathies Landscaping, and Sanders Jewelry Store. Advanced ticket sales end at 5 p.m. May 16.
