Milroy United Methodist Church Annual Turkey Supper from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Nov. 2. Adults $8, Children $5, Under four eat free. Carry-outs available in basement from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Manna Meal and Gleaners Mobile Food Bank

The Manna Mission free meal will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29 at Main Street Christian Church in Rushville. Carry-out and eat-in meals available. If you have any relatives or members of your churches that cannot attend the free meal, please feel free to get your loved ones a meal and take it to their homes. Monday, Nov. 4, in cooperation with the Rush County Food Pantry (RCCA), the Gleaners Mobile Food Bank will be bringing a truck load of food to the Main Street Christian Church parking lot, 615 N. Main St., Rushville, for distribution to local residents. The distribution will be made between 4 and 6 p.m. Residents will need to bring their own containers (sacks or boxes) to put their food into. Gleaners Mobile Food Bank returns the first Monday of each month.

Big Flatrock Christian Church

Big Flatrock Christian Church invites everyone to their annual Gospel Sing at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2. Special guests include the Outreach Praise Band, For His Sake and the Ambassadors. The Gathering

The Gathering is open Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Stop by and check out the clothing and have a cup of coffee at 245 North Main St., Rushville. The first Thursday of each month at 7 p.m., we host a group called “Life Matters.” We’ll sing a few songs, and enjoy a discussion on relevant “life matters!” While the adults meet to get a greater understanding of what the Bible says about life matters, children ages 4 through 4th grade will enjoy an exciting time of silly songs, Bible stories and crafts at KIDS J.A.M. Crops for CROP

On Sunday, Oct. 13, the Shelby County Crop Walk kicked off from First Christian Church in Shelbyville. On the same day, people began in the first CROP Rock-a-thon walking and rocking to stop hunter one step at a time. Each walker and rocker recruited sponsors and funds are being used to support both the Food Pantry located at Human Services in Shelby County and hunger projects around the world. Another first is Crops for CROP. Farmers are being asked to donate some of their corn to help Stop Hunger One Bushel at a Time. Corn is being collected now through Oct. 30 by Zion United Methodist Church of Christ. Call 765-525-4570 and leave your contact information.

First Church of God

First Church of God in Rushville will be hosting a couple of special events next week:

Fall Craft Fair

On Saturday, Oct. 26 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. the church will be having a Fall Craft Fair in the gymnasium. Several vendors will be selling: hand made crafts, jewelry, holiday gifts, candles, baked goods and much more. There will also be a concession stand available for all patrons. Trunk or Treat

On Thursday, Oct. 31 from 6 to 8 p.m. rain or shine the church will be having their annual Trunk or Treat for the children of the community. There will be plenty of treats, games and prizes for all the kids plus popcorn and drinks for all that attend. This is a free event and all are invited.

Faith Baptist Church - Morristown

Sunday, Oct. 27 Sunday school will begin at 9:30 a.m. followed by morning worship at 10:30 a.m. Dr. Paul and Betty Hiscock, music missionaries, will be guest speakers on Sunday, Oct. 27 to make a report on their summer-long missions trip. The Children’s Church program will be studying the life of Elijah during the worship service. The fellowship meal will be held at noon with the afternoon worship service at 12:45 p.m.

The New Palestine Elementary Good News Clubs are held on Mondays, Oct. 28, Nov. 4, Nov. 11 and Nov. 18 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Call Kathy Davis for more information: (317) 462-7069.

Good News Clubs will continue at Morristown Elementary after school on Wednesdays, Oct. 30, Nov. 6, Nov. 13, Nov. 20 and Dec. 4 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. For more details, contact Dr. Wayne Scott at (765) 763-7657.

Cottage prayer meetings will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30 and also Wednesdays, Nov. 6 and 20 in preparation for the revival services Nov. 24-27 with Evagelist Morris Gleiser and the music ministry of Paul and Betty Hiscock. The sign up sheet for the meetings is on the organ bench in the sanctuary.
