First Baptist Church

Sometimes life seems to just drag on and on. One day leads to the next, every day seems the same and there is nothing to which you can look forward. But, it doesn’t have to be that way. Blue RiverWesleyan Church

Blue River Wesleyan Church, 534 N 900 W, Arlington, will host its Christmas Concert at 6 p.m. Sunday. The concert will feature WATER IN2 WINE, brother duet Aaron and Jonathan Ashlock and Blue River’s own Lanee Marshall.

Main Street Christian Church

Main Street Christian Church continues its Sunday second in its Advent worship series in its 2013 Advent and Christmas theme “A Community Christmas.” This Sunday’s sermon theme is “A Community that happens in Peace.”

On Sunday, Dec. 15, a combined service will be held at 9:30 a.m. which will feature a children and youth Christmas pageant. Youth and children from high school and younger are invited and encouraged to participate. Practices for the Christmas pageant are Tuesday, Dec. 10, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 12, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 14, 9:00 to 11 a.m. All practices will be held in the church sanctuary at 615 North Main Street.

Following the service on Dec. 15, the annual congregational business meeting will be held. A pitch-in fellowship luncheon will follow the annual meeting with the congregation invited to bring their Christmas favorites.

December’s Manna Mission Meal is set a week earlier on Tuesday, Dec. 17 from 5 to 7 p.m., due to New Year’s Eve on its regularly scheduled night.
