First Baptist Church
I was flying in an airplane one day and found myself gazing down at tiny cars in the traffic far below. My eyes zeroed in on one particular car and I began to think, “I wonder how that person’s day is going. I wonder if it is a good day, or if things are stressed. Is he peaceful or is he hurried and troubled, late for work, stuck in a slow line of vehicles, or concerned about some relationship.” From my vantage point up in the sky, troubles seemed so small in comparison to the vast expanse I could see out my window. Yet, I knew that I have often been that one far below, driving with some distress on my mind.
“It’s all a matter of perspective.” People have said this many times, yet we likely have passed it off at times as trite and not helpful in our current pain. But it is often true. If we could see things differently, we often would not lose heart and feel like giving up.
Are you losing heart? Try seeing things from a different perspective. This Sunday at First Baptist Church, we will be looking at a specific perspective to have when you go through rough times. This perspective has helped many throughout the centuries and can help you through whatever you are going through. Would join us at 9:30 a.m.?
