Church Briefs

First Christian Assembly of God

The First Christian Assembly of God will host a “Sing fest” at 6 p.m. Sunday. All are welcome.

Plum Creek Christian Church

What belongs to God?

Have you ever asked yourself what belongs to God and what belongs to us? The answer is all of it. Psalm 24:1 (NLT) “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to Him. To manage what God has given us starts with praise. “When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the Lord your God for the good land He has given you.” Deuteronomy 8:10

It’s also important to stay away from pride. It is too easy to say that we have done all of these things by ourselves, it is our Lord who provides all things for us.

We need to remember what God has done for us in the past. Lois Evans put it like this: “Moments when the well of your soul is empty-these are the times when you need to remember God’s power and times in the past when He has sustained you.”

Please join us at PCCC this Sunday as we learn more about God’s love for us and how He provides all things that are best for us.

First Baptist Church

Pretty soon we will start to see trees budding, grass growing and flowers blooming. It is an exciting time of year as we watch things come to life (especially after this winter!), turn vibrant colors and burst forth. I will recognize what some of those plants are, not because I am an expert, but because I see certain distinguishing characteristics.

Something similar applies to the church at large. Certain characteristics that should distinguish us from amongst all people. What are those characteristics? We’ll be looking at the one of the most important ones this week at First Baptist Church, and you are welcome to come and join us! The worship service begins at 9:30 a.m.
