First Baptist Church
“Who would have ever thought?” You might ask yourself that question when you see someone unlikely do something extraordinary. Scratching your head, you think, “I never would have guessed!” What if that unlikely person was you? “I could never do anything extraordinary,” you say. “I’m not smart or gifted, I don’t have much influence on others, and when it comes down to it, I’m no one special.” Maybe people around even agree!
I, on the other hand, disagree...and so does God. He tells us in the Bible that He uses the most unlikely people to do the most extraordinary things for His purposes-and that includes you! Would you like to know more about this? Come to First Baptist Church at 9:30 a.m. this Sunday and join some other unlikely people as we journey together.
Main Street Christian Church
This Sunday all children and youth are invited to meet MSCC’s new youth director, Zach Dorrel, at a skating party in New Castle. The group will meet at the church at 1:15 p.m. Sunday and will return at approximately 5 p.m. Cost is $7 plus refreshment money.
Main Street’s Chili and More lunch were postponed last Sunday to Sunday, March 16 due to inclement weather. A variety of chili will be served along with sandwiches, veggies, and dessert. Donations will be received for a youth fellowship and work trip this summer.
