RUSHVILLE — Main Street Christian Church

Children and youth of Main Street Christian Church will present the Good News of Christmas through children’s eyes this Sunday during one combined worship service at 9:30 a.m. The pageant, entitled “The Christmas Letters,” will include the singing of carols, scripture readings, and letters from children to those who witnessed the birth of Christ.  

Following the service a fellowship time with refreshments will be held in the downstairs fellowship room. Sunday School will not be held this Sunday.

Christmas Eve candlelight services will be held at 7 and 11 p.m. The early Christmas Eve service, entitled “The Gift of Bethlehem” celebrates God’s gift of the Savior thorugh the singing of carols, special music, readings, scriptures, candlelighting and communjion. The later service, “The Light of Bethlehem,”offers a time of reflection through the reading of Scripture, carols, candlelighting, and Communion.       

The Manna Mission meal will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18. This meal is open to the public and is free of charge as a service to those in need.

Pastor Sam Davenport invites the public to attend all services and events.

        

St. Paul’s United Methodist Church

The children of St. Paul’s will present a Christmas Pageant at the 10:40 a.m. service on Dec. 16 and on Dec. 23 the Chancel Choir will present a Cantata, 2,000 Decembers Ago, by Joel Ramsey. There will be no 8:30 a.m. Praise Services on these Sundays.

As always, the public is invited and encouraged to come and enjoy listening to God’s Word.  

Wesley United Methodist Church

Come join us for Christmas dinner from 1 to 5 p.m. Dec. 15 at the Fellowship Hall at Wesley United Methodist Church in Rushville. This is a free dinner. Anyone and everyone is welcome to come join us to give thanks for all our blessings. Donation of a canned food would be appreciated for the food pantry.
