First Baptist Church

Would you rather someone pay you a compliment because they want to and because they sincerely mean it, or because they are being forced to? If someone honors you, but their heart is not in it, it doesn’t mean much. Our Savior, like us, wants compliments to be sincere. He is looking for people who will worship Him because they want to, not because they have to. Monday is Epiphany, the day that many Christians celebrate the day the wise men came and worshiped the infant Jesus. Their journey to worship was marked by an eager desire, one that carried them from a land far away. From them, we can learn some of the qualities of a heart that wants to worship Christ. Would you come and join us at First Baptist Church this Sunday at 9:30 a.m. when we will look at those qualities? Together, we can become the kind of worshipers that bring a smile to our Savior’s face.
