What does the Nativity say to you?
Most of us have it displayed this time of year in our homes, lawn or wherever you may choose. I’m talking of the Nativity scene. Each year we un-wrap the pieces and place each figurine in their place within the manger. Reading of Christ’s birth in Luke, it’s interesting that the Lord chose a group of humble shepherds as invited guests to the birth of the Savior of the world. Just like the shepherds, we all have been invited to the manger having one thing in common, we are all broken and we need a Savior.
Each Christmas we’re reminded that Jesus doesn’t expect us to arrive at His side, puffed up with our own self-righteousness. Instead He desires us to come to His cradle, humbly, like the shepherds with all our imperfections. He is OUR GIFT, from the Father. The Nativity says GRACE, God’s gift to us. What does the Nativity say to you? It could say many things, but it comes down to Jesus who was born in a manger to save a broken and hurting world. Please read Luke 2:8-14 and remember to thank God for the birth or your Savior.
We’re looking forward to your visit at Plum Creek Christian Church as we worship our Lord together. God bless and experience a Christ filled Christmas.
