RUSHVILLE — VBS at First Southern Baptist Church

First Southern Baptist Church will host Vacation Bible School from June 9-13 each evening starting at 6 p.m. and ending at 8:30 p.m. Come and participate in Bible study classes from preschool to adults with highly energetic songs and choreography. Each evening will host arts and crafts along with applicable missions lessons to reinforce the Bible lesson for that day. Once again, the hospitality team will serve up delightful refreshments as the recreation team will challenge students in outdoor games and activities. We hope to see you there a as the VBS theme is “Colossal Coastal World.” The motto for VBS this year is “Facing Fear!  Trusting God!” For additional information and/or transportation needs, please call the church office at 932-2471 or the pastor at 938-9196.



Faith Baptist Church - Morristown

Sunday, June 9, Dr. Wayne Scott will be teaching Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. with a worship service at 10:30 a.m. The pitch-in lunch will be at noon followed by the afternoon worship service at 12:45 p.m.

Sunday, June 16 - Father’s Day - no afternoon service or pitch-in meal.

Sunday, June 23 - 21st anniversary celebration at the Riley Park Shelter House in Greenfield at 1 p.m.

Wednesday, June 26 - Monthly visitation program with teams leaving the church at 7 p.m.

Sunday, July 14 - Small group Bible study will begin again at 5 p.m. at Pastor Wayne and Sister Karen Scott’s house.

Vacation Bible School - July 15 - 19 from 6:15 to 8:30 p.m. Activities will include Bible memory verses,  missionary stories, arts and crafts, hay ride, recreation and refreshments. For advanced registration students are encouraged to come at 6 p.m. nightly or call the church at (765) 763-7657.

Main Street Christian Church

Main Street Christian Church begins their summer Vacation Bible School this Sunday evening with a mountain climbing expedition, “Go Tell It On The Mountain: Where Jesus Christ is Lord!”  The five-night VBS will be held from Sunday evening, June 9 through Thursday evening June 13 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Parents, friends, and guest are invited to attend a closing program and celebration on Thursday evening beginning at 8 p.m. in the church sanctuary. The program will be followed by refreshments. Area children ages three through fifth grade are invited to attend the VBS. Parents and guardians may register children week days from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the church office or may phone the church office at 932-2997. Parents who register their children over the phone are asked to sign a registration form before the event begins Sunday evening.

During services Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., the VBS will kick-off with a time of dedication and the morning message introducing the week’s VBS theme. Sam Davenport’s Sunday sermon is entitled “A Mountain Top Experience: Experiencing the Power of God” with the Bible reading I Kings 18.  

Main Street Christian Church June Manna Mission meal is set for 5-7 p.m., June 25. The public is invited and welcomed to attend all events and services.



Main Street Christian Church invites area children to their annual Vacation Bible School, set for Sunday evening, June 9 through Thursday evening, June 13. The five night event will be held from 6–8:30 p.m. each evening.

This year’s event, “Tell It On the Mountain: Where Jesus Christ is Lord” is a mountain climb theme exploring how God has revealed His power, might, and love at “mountain top” experiences. Each evening will include singing, Bible stories, games, crafts and snacks. A closing program will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday evening, June 13, followed by a fellowship and refreshment time.

The school is held for those age three through fifth grade. Pre-schoolers need to be toilet trained. Parents and guardians may register children week days from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the church office or may phone the church office at 932-2997 for more information. The public is invited and welcomed to attend all events and services.



VBS at Big Flatrock Christian Church

Knightstown Church of God

Knightstown Church of God would like to invite everyone out on Sunday, June 9, to celebrate our Homecoming and the 80th birthday of the founding of our church.

Special singers The Healing Waters Gospel Singers of Franklin will be with us at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to celebrate our homecoming and commemorate our 80th birthday.

We will also be welcoming for the first time Evangelist Tony Costa who will be preaching in the 10 a.m. service.

Revival begins the following Wednesday through Friday each night at 7 p.m. with a special preacher each night and special singing.
