Do you want to make a difference in the world? Are you getting confused about who to believe with advice coming at you in all directions? If we truly want to change things we should heed the wisdom of the Bible. Noah was living in a world turned upside down by sin but he choose not to listen to the ways of the world, instead he listened to God. Noah and his family were the only humans saved from the flood. By obeying God Noah saved himself and his family from death. Whose advice would you rather trust, man or God? When you start to listen to the wisdom of the Bible, you will be amazed at the results. Join us for an awesome Praise and Worship Service followed by a message from our minister, Ray Sweet. The Mother-Daughter Brunch will be at 9:30 a.m. May 10. Featured speaker is Vicki Campbell. It will be a great time of fellowship, food and fun.

Carthage Wesleyan
We were privileged at Carthage Wesleyan to have a special speaker from the Gideons, Larry Snider, who spoke to us about the Gideons’ ministry of distibuting Bibles worldwide. He shared many testimonies of lives changed by receiving the Holy Bible from the Gideons. Please do not neglect this important ministry. Schedule a Gideon speaker for your church this year.
Pastor Stroud preached a message Sunday night about Abraham and the Angel of the Lord who visited him. Abraham was instructed to warn any of his family that lived in Sodom that God was going to destroy the city and Abraham pleaded with God not to destroy the city. Lot, being warned by visitors to leave, offered his daughters to the men of the city so they would leave and not desire the men that were at his house. While they were fleeing Lot’s wife looked back and was turned into a pillar of salt. Pastor Stroud emphasized that we should intercede on behalf of our families and loved ones and that we should not sacrifice our children to things that we feel are more important. Most importantly we should not look back on our past sins with fondness.
We will be holding a special song service this week at 10:30 a.m. All are welcome to come join us we praise and worship our Lord through music.
We also will have a spring revival at 7 p.m. nightly May 14 through 18.
