The winning ticket for the Second Annual Rush County School Legacy Fund Homecoming Quilt was pulled by Dr. John E. Williams during half time at the Lion’s football game, Sept. 20. While RCHS Homecoming events dodged raindrops, all events went on without delay. For the second year in a row the newly formed Legacy Fund offered the Legacy Fund Homecoming Quilt as a way of fostering community participation in the fund. This year more than $700 dollars from opportunity ticket sales went directly to the Legacy Fund that benefits all Rush County Schools.
We are pleased to announce this year’s winner is Lori Simpson. She claimed her prize at the Mays Chili Supper on Oct. 4 with the assistance of family friend Abri Dalfanto. Congratulations to Lori and we look forward to seeing next year’s version of the Third Annual Homecoming Quilt.
Marianne Scott is the Legacy Fund director/Information officer with Rush County Schools.
