RUSHVILLE — The Jivin Jackson 4-H Club met Feb. 12 at the Jackson Township Community Building with Michaela Orme calling the meeting to order. The American pledge was led by Caitlin Morris and the 4-H pledge by Dawson Cameron. Garret Sammons, secretary, called the roll with 33 members giving their middle name. There were eight guests present along with leaders Judy Leisure and Bill Markley also attending. Garret read the minutes from the previous meeting.  Frank Sammons made a motion and Garret Sammons seconded for the Club to make a donation to the Rush County Ag Association toward the purchase of the livestock pens.

Cassidy Tellas gave a health and safety report on “Eight Tips for not Getting the Flu.” Monica Robinson and Olivia Dora led the group in a song.

Demonstrations were given by the following members: Jordan Kennedy on “Reading,” Catie Liggett on “Do’s and Don’ts in Swine Showmanship,” Eligh Harrison on “Loading and Unloading a Rifle,” Grant Harrison on “Latch Hook,” Brooke Cameron on “Drawing,” and Dawson Cameron on “Paper Airplanes.”

Following recreation, refreshments were furnished by Catie Liggett, Jordan Kennedy, Brooke and Dawson Cameron, Eligh and Grant Harrison and Paige Stanley.
