Friends Too Orange Township

Rushville Republican

RUSHVILLE — Friends Too met at the Home of Joleye Icenogle. President Roberta Cole opened the meeting and welcomed everyone. Naming your favorite president for roll call was very interesting.

Activities discussed were the Jungle Jim trip, signing up for several activities and plans for the fair.

Jean and Ruth told plans for the 100th Anniversary of Home Ec. Some members of Friends Too were members of the original Orange Township Friendly Neighbors. Members were interested to see Barbara Harcourt on the front of “Country Roads” magazine. Suggestions were made to go on a tour of the Statehouse. Several children of members have been pages.

Cards were signed to send to ill members Phyllis Hall, JoAnn Fischer and Gladys Kuhn.

Jean Chandler gave the lesson on new technology and options available for communicating. This was very helpful and each member received a copy.

Roberta read a very humorous leaflet. Former member Pat Elston was welcomed.

A variety of refreshments was served by Jolene Icenogle, Linda Chandler and Roberta Cole.
