Jivin Jackson 4-H Club meets before fair

RUSHVILLE — The Jivin Jackson 4-H Club met June 11 at the Jackson Township Community Building for prejudging and their last regular meeting before the Rush County Fair. Garret Sammons, secretary called the meeting to order with John Alexander leading the American pledge and Kylee Macy leading the 4-H pledge. Roll Call was answered by 25 members responding with the “number of projects completed.” There were also six guests present along with leaders Judy Leisure, Karen Macy, Lisa and Bill Markley. Alisha Markley read the minutes of previous meeting and gave the treasurer’s report. Cassidy Tellas gave the health and safety report on “The Importance of Exercise.” Project labels and the Farm Bureau coupons were given to the members. Anna White reported on 4-H Camp and everyone had a great time this year.

The following members gave demonstrations: John Alexander on “Equipment for Football,” Maximus Disney on “Legos,” Maddison Gosser on “How to Walk and Show a Cow,” Kylee Macy on “Photography,” Lexi Morris on “Equipment for Softball,” Nakia Palmer on “Painting,” Lillian and Monica Robinson on “How to Make a Bubble Machine,” Cassidy Tellas on “How to Make a Proper Pen for Goats,” Lauren Wineman on “Gift Wrap,” Anna White on “Wildflowers,” Paige Stanley on “How to Make Pretzels,” Grace Muir on “Ceramics,” Betsy Muir on “Ceramics,” Carter Tague on “Lego Soccer Field,” Shaleigh Tague on “Scrapbooking,” Ashley Todd on “Photography,” Mary Kate Amos on “Experiences of the Queen Contest,” Hunter Orme on “Photography,” Frank Sammons on “Referee Equipment for a Soccer Game,” and Nicole Sammons on “Different Kinds of Ears and Tails on a Dog.”

Refreshments were furnished by John Alexander, Maximus Disney, Cassidy Tellas, Matt Birkle, Anna White and Lauren Wineman.
