RUSHVILLE — Friends Too met at the home of Jane Kuhn. President Roberta Cole opened the meeting. Eleven members were present and three guests Pat Elston, Jolene Icenogle and Carlie Kuhn.

Current events were discussed and the importance of the coming election.

The 100 Years Home Economics Extension Homemakers Anniversary is next year and many plans are being made. Achievement night will be Oct. 2 at Center Church. Reservations are due by Sept. 18. The next spring trip will be to Jungle Jim in Cincinnati.

Linda Kuhn explained our new project, ÒQuilts of Valor.Ó Red, white and blue blocks are to be 12 1/2 inches in size.

The health and safety lesson was discussed. The main point are: Do not use cell phones while pumping gas and do not smoke then.

The next meeting will be Sept. 26 at the home of Gladys Kuhn.

The hostess, Jane Kuhn, served a variety of cakes and iced tea.

Ann McDaniel brought beautiful gladiolas for everyone to take home.
