The Noble Niters Home Ec Club met Aug. 28 at the New Salem Methodist Church Ed Building. Hostess for the meeting was Cheryl Kramer, with Marlene Fudge as co-hostess.
Eleven members answered the roll call response with their favorite author. Linda Naylor gave a leadership report on the history of Labor Day. Volunteer community support leader Pam Brock gave a report on the number of ways hot temperatures are a health hazard. President Linda Murphy led the discussion on the Achievement Night Oct. 10 at the New Salem Lions Club. Our club will be hosting this meeting. The menu was finalized and committees were formed.
Linda Murphy then gave the lesson on ways consumers can protect themselves from being taken advantage.
Refreshments were provided by Cheryl Kramer and Marlene Fudge. Amy Ploeger won the door prize. The next meeting will be Sept. 25 at the home of Amy Ploeger. Connie Meyer will be co-hostess. Carla Angle is the lesson leader.
