Rushville Republican

RUSHVILLE — Charles E. “Chuck” and Jane Power Niccum recently established a new unrestricted endowment fund with the Rush County Community Foundation.

The “Charles E. and Jane Power Niccum Fund” was established to provide annual support to benefit the Rush County Community through the Foundation’s Community Grant Program. Income from this Fund will be granted to meet the changing and emerging needs of Rush County non-profit organizations.

“It was Jane’s idea to start this fund,” stated Chuck. “We liked the idea of helping the county not-for-profit groups make improvements that could help Rush County residents through the Foundation’s grant program. Jane was raised in Rush County and it is where we have resided and started our company, Niccum Seeds, thirty-six years ago.”

“Rush County has always been my home and it has been good to our family,” added Jane. “We wanted to help by giving back to the community and the Foundation is the entity to handle this type of gift as they have had many years of success through their grant and scholarship programs.”

“I want to thank Chuck and Jane for establishing their Fund with the Foundation which will benefit the  non-profit organizations in Rush County forever,” stated Garry Cooley, Foundation executive director. “It is always gratifying when donors realize the work we do and the impact we have made on Rush County and its citizens through our community grants. It was a pleasure for me to work with them in establishing their fund which will link their name to the Foundation and the Rush County community not only today, but for our future generations.”

If you would like to make a donation to this Fund you may send your donation to the Rush County Community Foundation, 117 N Main St, Rushville, IN 46173 with a note included that you would like it added to the Charles E. and Jane Power Niccum Fund.
