Homemakers On The Go

RUSHVILLE — Homemakers On The Go, Rush County Extension Club, met Nov. 13 at Henry Henley Public Library in Carthage for a pitch-in dinner preceding the monthly meeting. Ten members and two guests answered role call by revealing what dish they contributed to the meal.

President Abby Wehr opened the meeting leading everyone in saying the Homemakers Creed. She added her words of welcome to the two guests, Sue Bearhope and Sandra Hale, who decided to become club members.

Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved and the treasurer’s report was given and accepted.

President Wehr reported on the county meeting which she attended. She will be gathering some pictures, items of interest, etc., from the club history scrapbook to share in county efforts to put together a historical account of Rush County Extension Clubs.

The cultural arts leader reported that Carthage Elementary had a Veteran’s Day Program honoring all Veterans.

Members were reminded of the club Christmas Party at 6 p.m., Dec. 13, at the home of Barb Proctor. Bring a small Bingo gift(s) for games and the menu item of choice.

Carolyn Lewis read the History of Pecans. Inspiration for the month “Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly and leave the rest to God.”
