---- — Library’s Book Sale: The library’s book sale will be held between Oct. 14-19.

Morristown Library Branch: The library’s Morristown Branch opened at its new location on Monday, Oct. 14. The branch has relocated to the Morristown Municipal Building at 418 W Main St. Morristown, IN 46161. Hours will be Monday-Friday: 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. / Saturday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Phone is 765-818-1718.

Fall for a Great Pet: The Shelby County Animal Shelter will be at the Shelby County Public Library with information about pet adoption and a few adoptable pets from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 19 in the library’s public meeting room. No reservations are required to attend.

Frightening Fun-Filled Festival: Pull out your Halloween costumes and get ready for the festivities at the Shelby County Public Library! The annual Frightening Fun-Filled Festival will be held on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the library. This event is free and open to the public. Activities are catered for children ages 10 and under, but all ages are welcome to attend. Join us for witch pitch, boo bowling, pin the whiskers on the cat, ghost & owl crafts, spider ring fishing, candy toss, pumpkin tossing game, and cooking decorating. Also, make sure that you find Balloongenuity at the festival. They will be doing balloon twisting from 10 a.m. - noon*. (The line for balloon twisting will cut off at 11:30 a.m.) Bake sale items and Paparazzi Jewelry will be for sale. The jewelry will be sold for $ 6.50 - $1 from all purchases will be donated to the library. Funds raised benefit the Friends of the Library.
