Optimist Club presents awards

---- — Outstanding service awards for the 2012-13 year were presented at the Rushville Breakfast Optimist Club meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 8. Outgoing president Ken Rushton recognized several Optimists for their dedication to the club this past year. Receiving plaques were Randy Clifton, Raleigh Cox, Brian Humphrey, Chuck Kemker, Ken Masters, Tom Simpson, Kevin Stone, Marissa Taylor and John Wall.

Nine club members were honored for their years of perfect attendance, including Kevin Stone, who has reached the 31 year mark. A president’s plaque was given to Ken Rushton in recognition of his outstanding leadership the past 12 months.

Incoming president John Wall was named recipient of the club’s highest award - Optimist of the Year, as voted by the membership The club congratulates John for his outstanding volunteer work this past year.
