Rush United Santa Helpers taking applications

Formally Rush County Bikers Toy's for Tot's

R.U.S.H. — Rush United Santa Helpers, (formally Toy’s For Tot’s) is currently planning events to raise money to buy Christmas for those less fortunate.

The Frazier’s retired from Toy’s For Tot’s after 21 years of putting smiles on children’s faces. The American Legion Riders and Eagle Riders have formed a committee that has taken over this organization. We have renamed it “R.U.S.H.” Rush United Santa Helpers.

We are taking applications at this time for families in need. Applications may be picked up at ICAP Head Start, the Health Department, the Department of Family Resource, the local Food Pantry and Community Action (ICAP) at the Booker T. Community Center. Applications must be completely filled out and income guidelines will be followed. Applications must be mailed to RUSH, P.O. Box 454, Rushville, IN 46173 no later than Dec. 1, 2013.

If you would like to make a monetary donation you may do so by calling Linda Wildey at 765-561-4015 or Carla Sharpe at 765-561-5080. Checks can be made to R.U.S.H. and mailed to RUSH, P.O. Box 4541 Rushville, IN 46173. We greatly appreciate your support. We will also accept donations of new toys

Many families are struggling due to job loss, health issues and a slow economy. These are just a few of the reasons why it’s so important to support this worthy cause. Please give to help a family in need. Our local children depend on us.
