---- — The Rushville Music Study Club met at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 11 at Rushville United Methodist Church for a delicious meal served by the program committee. At 7 p.m., 12 members, one associate member and two honorary members convenes in the sanctuary for a program on music of the 1920s and 1930s. This year, the club is celebrating 90 years of great music. The club actually began before World War I, but discontinued during the war and reconvened after the war.

Lively ragtime was presented by Linda Hood on the piano, Rick Williams expertly played several numbers on his trumpet, and Donna Kuhn and Marilyn Dunn sang two lovely duets accompanied by Mike Woods. Everyone joined in on God Bless America.

During the regular meeting, beautiful programs were handed out to the members and discussion was held on several matters including the upcoming Chorale performances and changes to the location. There will be no ticket sales, and the concerts will be held at Center Christian Church and the Rushville Presbyterian Church. New ideas were discussed pertaining to our end-of-the-year annual program.
