Jivin Jackson 4-H Club shares demonstrations

RUSHVILLE — The Jivin Jackson 4-H Club met April 9 at the Jackson Township Community Club with secretary, Garret Sammons calling the meeting to order. The American pledge was led by Katharine Woodhouse and the 4-H pledge was led by Alliza Woodhouse. Your “favorite ice cream” was resonded to by 26 members. There were 6 guests present along with leaders Judy Leisure, Lisa and Bill Markley and Karen Macy.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read. Cassidy Tellas gave the Health and Safety Report on “How much sugar is in common drinks.” The information for Bowl for Kids was given to the group and Fair handbooks were also distributed.  

Demonstrations were given by: Alisha Markley - “Items needed to Show Cattle,” Katharine Woodhouse - “Drawing of Chibis,” Alliza Woodhouse - “Magazine Covers made on the Computer,” Carley Jobe - “Construction Toys,” Morgan Daniels - “Items used for Scrapbooking,” and Garret Sammons - “Hints for Showing Swine.”

Refreshments were furnished by Madison Sutter, Mary Kate Amos, Katharine and Alliza Woodhouse, Kinsey and Nakia Palmer, Garret and Ellie Sammons.
