Grace L. Caldwell, 89, a lifelong Rushville resident, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013, in Rushville.
Grace was born Aug. 21, 1923, in Rush County, to the late Bert and Mary (Mullins) Snoddy.
She married Herbert Caldwell Nov. 1, 1941; he preceded her in death in May, 1977. Grace was a homemaker, had worked at Miller’s Drive-In for over 20 years, and was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Grace leaves behind daughter, Sharon and husband Cecil Murphy of Rushville; brother, William Snoddy and wife Rita of Brownsburg; sister, Lorene Shepler of Greenfield; five grandchildren, Chris Houchins and wife Tamara, Kathy Houchins, Jennifer Houchins and companion Luke McArthur, Diana Westerfield, Michele and husband James McIntyre; three great-grandchildren; and son-in-law, Ralph Cooley.
In addition to her husband and parents, Grace was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Cooley, and several brothers and sisters.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2013, at Moster Mortuary in Rushville with Dena Vittorio presiding. Friends are welcome to visit from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at the mortuary. Burial will follow in East Hill Cemetery.
