Roberta Ann Kellam, 55, of Rushville, peacefully entered the kingdom of heaven Jan. 3, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Bobbie was born Sept. 14, 1957 in New Castle, the daughter of Robert and Della Porter of Glenwood. She was a resident at Miller’s Merry Manor Assisted Living Facility. She graduated from Connersville Senior High School in 1987. She attended Fairview Christian Church. Bobbie enjoyed playing cards, country music and watching movies. She was a loving and generous person to the people around her.
Those left to cherish her memory include a daughter, Wendy K. Kellam of Portland, Ore.; two sons, James L. Kellam Jr. of Warwick, R.I. and Robert Kyle Kellam of Indianapolis; her former husband, James L. Kellam Sr. of Connersville; four brothers, Bill (Carla) Porter of Rushville, John (Carol) Porter of Knightstown, Greg (René) Porter of Connersville and Jeff (Julie) Porter of Beattyville, Ky.; two sisters, Becky Gilbert of Athens, Ga. and Reine Porter of Glenwood. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her brother, James Porter.
A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Jan. 5 at Fairview Christian Church in Rush County with Pastor George Huff and Jeff Porter officiating.
Burial will take place at Glenwood Union Cemetery at a later date.
