Gilbert Gray Gordon, 92, of Indianapolis, passed away May 20, 2013.
He was born Jan. 21, 1921, in Rush County, to the late Elmer Lee and Laura Eskew Gordon. Gilbert was a graduate of Raleigh High School, and served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He married Betty Marie Auberry, and was employed with GM Allison as a Program Administrator, retiring after over 31 years.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013, at Shirley Brothers Thompson Road Chapel, 3333 E. Thompson Road.
Gilbert is survived by his loving children, Linda Pierce, James Gordon (Brenda), Martha Bullington and Patrick Gordon (Barbara); and grandchildren, Gabriel, Hannah, Tiffany, Sean, and twins expected for Patrick and Barbara; and great-grandson, Brayden.
Gilbert’s wife, Betty; and brothers, Ernest, Alton, Lawrence, Robert, Marion, Joseph and Franklin Gordon, preceded him in death.
