RUSHVILLE — Walter Dunn, 87, a resident of Wilkinson formerly of Laurel, passed away Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, at his residence.
He was born May 21, 1926, in Peppertown, Ind., and is the son of the late Dillard and Mary (Mullins) Dunn.
He was a veteran of WWII serving in the United States Navy. He retired in 1986 from Visteon. Walter was pastor of the Independent Baptist Church for 23 years and did evangelistic work for many years. He also did pastoral work for nursing homes.
Surviving include his wife of 70 years, Fannie (Jones) Dunn of Wilkinson; five daughters, Louise (Paul) Sebastian of Laurel, Amy (George) Condo of Wilkinson, Loretta (Joe) Stulir of Comanche, Okla., Brenda (Donnie) Raines of Tellico Plaines, Tenn., and Juanita Callaway of Tolor, Texas; 18 grandchildren; and many great and great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two son’s, Woodrow “Woody” Dunn and Timmy Dunn; grandson, Joshua Dunn; and great grandson, Camden Jackson.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, at Laurel North Cemetery in Laurel with Ryan McCarty officiating. Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Condo & Son Funeral Home in.
