Glen R. Duke, 73, a life long Rush County resident, passed away Jan. 23, 2014 at his home in Rushville. He was born Sept. 7, 1940 in Rushville to Roy M. and Mildred (McMichael) Duke. He was a 1958 graduate of Mays School. Glen married Jacqueline Lightner on Dec. 12, 1975.
Glen was part owner of McMichael and Duke Well Drilling. He retired in 1998 after 33 years with Delco Remy. Glen was a member of the Pioneer Engineer's Club of Rush County and the Gas and Water Well Driller's Association.
In addition to his wife, Jacqueline, of Rushville, he is survived by his mother, Mildred Duke of Henderson; a daughter, Glenda Duke and companion Roham Rahebi of Morristown; sons, Rodney Duke of Henderson, Chad Duke and Glen and Melissa Duke of Rushville; a sister, Doris Ann Duke of Kansas City, Mo.; and grandchildren, Gunner and Maecy Speece. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Marvin Duke.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 27 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville with Warren Engel presiding. Friends are welcome to visit at the mortuary from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26. Burial will be in Rushville's East Hill Cemetery.
