Karen Sue Painter Trowbridge, 67, a long time Rushville resident, passed away Jan. 18, 2014 in Indianapolis. She was born Nov. 23, 1946 in Frankfort to Isaac Newton and Bessie M. (Kirk) Painter.
She worked many years for Schnadig Corporation, the Goodwill Store and Fujitsu Ten in Rushville. She loved spending time with her grand kids and great grand kids.
Karen Sue is survived by a son, Tim and wife Amy Trowbridge of Mays; daughters, Dawn and husband Craig Hornaday and Loria Lisa Painter, all of Rushville; brothers, James and wife Lori Painter of Texas and John and wife Tracy Painter of Rushville; sisters, Sharon and husband John Trent of Elwood, Linda and husband Kirk Wildey and Sandi and husband Jeremy McQueary, all of Rushville; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman E.; and brothers, Jack and Jerry.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville, with Pastor Tim Fluty presiding. Friends are welcome to visit at the mortuary from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21. Burial will be in Rushville's East Hill Cemetery.
