Vivian Rose Rouse, 81, of Connersville, passed away Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, at Reid Hospital of Richmond, where she had been a patient since Thursday.
One of four children, she was born Jan. 9, 1933 in Connersville, the daughter of Paul and Evelyn Reed Greenway, Sr. A graduate of Connersville High School, she had also attended Ivy Tech.
On May 11, 1963, she was married to Carol Wayne Rouse of Arlington. Mr. Rouse died April 27, 2004.
For more than 30 years, she was the Postmaster at several localities with her final assignment at Glenwood. She later became employed at Residential CRF of Connersville where she worked in the Accounting Department.
She was a member of Waterloo Church of Christ. In her leisure, she enjoyed camping, fishing, square dancing, traveling and raising African violets in her home, not to mention working in her yard.
Survivors include her sister, Sharon Mauger of Connersville; six nephews, Robbie Fitzgerald, Chad Mauger and David and Mike Greenway, all of Connersville, Ricky Greenway of Columbus, Ohio and Dallas Greenway of Cincinnati, Ohio; and two nieces, Teresa Henderson of Connersville and Sherry Greenway of Cincinnati, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Paul Jr. and Richard Greenway; and a niece, Judy Greenway Powers.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home with Wayne Greeson officiating. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday. They may also visit anytime online at millermosterrobbins.com.
