Mike Edward Chandler, 68, long time resident of Rushville, passed away Dec. 7, 2013. Mike was born Dec. 12, 1944, the son of Mildred (Misner) Kemp, who preceded in death along with a brother Richard Chandler.
Mike was along time resident of Rushville and a retired employe of the Rush County Highway Department. He also owned Chandler Sanitation Service for 30 years. He was a long time member of the Eagles Lodge and the American Legion. He was a loving father and grand father, brother, uncle and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
Mike is survived by son Mike Chandler Jr. of Rushville; daughters Misty Chandler of Carmel and Tracy Chandler of Rushville; four grandchildren, Mathew, Kaitlin and Kara Chandler and Olivia Foreman; many nieces and nephews; one brother Doyle Chandler of Spiceland; sisters Eva (Frank) White and Cathy (Donnie) Jacobs both of California.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013 at the Burns Funeral Home Milroy with Duane Alexander officiating. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013. Burial will be at Bennit Cemetery in Rays Crossing.
