RUSHVILLE — Albert G. Morris Sr., 73, a long time Rush County resident passed away Friday, July 19, 2013 in Greenfield, IN. Albert was born in Connersville, IN on May 5, 1940, to the late Jesse Morris and Anna (Galliher) Marion. He lived his early life in Alquina, IN. and was a 1959 graduate of Alquina High School.  Albert had lived in Rush County, Henderson community, since 1966.

 Albert married Darlene McCane on November 11, 1959 and she survives. Albert retired in 1994 after 30 years with Ford Motors in Indianapolis. He and his wife Darlene had a Rushville Republican paper route for a few years after retirement.  He was a very active member of the Rushville Church of the Nazarene serving as a board member and trustee. Albert was also a member of the Knightstown Masonic Lodge F&AM and the UAW Local# 1111 in Indianapolis.

 In addition to his wife Darlene, of Rush County, Albert leaves behind a son, Albert G. Morris Jr. and wife Connie, a daughter, Christina and husband Richard Gosser  all of Rushville, a brother, Richard Morris and wife Ada of Morristown, 2 sisters, Gladys and husband Don Glover of Richmond, IN, Vera and husband Jerry Shaw of Greenfield, IN, grandchildren, Heather Short, Ryan Short and wife Amanda, Albert Morris III, Amanda and husband Jason Scheiderer, Travis Short, Christian Gosser, James Carnine, Mikaela Morris and 3 great grandchildren, Keagan Turner, Kayden Turner and Graham Scheiderer.

 Albert was preceded in death by his parents, 2 daughters, Debra Carnine and Sonja Morris, a brother Jesse Morris, Jr. and a sister Bessie Hardin.

Services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, July 22, 2103 at Rushville Church of the Nazarene.  Pastor’s Todd Reynolds and Michael Dees will preside. Friends are welcome to visit at Moster Mortuary, Rushville, from 2-6 PM Sunday, July 21, 2013. Burial will be in Rushville’s East Hill Cemetery.

 Memorial contributions may be made to the Rushville Church of the Nazarene.
