Henrietta Richardson, 91, a lifelong Rush County and Union Township resident passed away peacefully Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013 in Rushville. Henrietta was born in Rushville on May 29, 1922 to the late Henry and Hazel (Plessinger) Alsop.
Henrietta was a 1940 graduate of Rushville High School. She married Max Virgil Richardson on May 29, 1947 and he preceded her in death on Sept. 28, 1992. Henrietta worked as a secretary for Williamson & Waite Insurance for 20 years. She was a member of Ben Davis Creek Christian Church. She loved reading and her family and enjoyed her grandchildren immensely.
She leaves behind a son, William “Paul” Richardson and wife Debbie of Rushville; four daughters, Sharon and husband John McDonald of Hamilton, Ohio, Louise Current and companion Ron Miller of New Castle, Kathy and husband Tom Hill of Indianapolis, Helen Richardson and fiancé Kenny Aulbach of Falmouth; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; sister-in-law, Naomi Ponsler of Rushville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Henrietta was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence Alsop of Rushville and Larry Andrews of Franklin.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville. Rev. Howard Bullard will preside. Friends are welcome to visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Rushville’s East Hill Cemetery.
